about me

Graphic designer with 10+ years of international experience in branding, packaging, and collateral design. Currently based in New York CIty after moving back from Tokyo, Japan where I lived and worked as a freelance designer for the last 7.5 years. I received my BFA in Graphic Design at Maryland Institute College of Art. Presently working as a freelance graphic designer, looking for the next step in my career in a full time position!

My philosophy for my work is to design in 360° - creating a global strategy. This approach helps to better integrate external to internal communication. To me, to build and define a brand identity is not only the visual side, but also clearly convey what the brand wants to say and how. Design should be the visual voice for the brand.

My career spans across working for big name brands and freelancing in the US and Japan. I have worked on building brand identities from the ground up, designing campaigns, helped rebrand, and created graphics for clients for industries such as beauty, athletic, apparel, and food. Having worked for Japanese and American brands, it gives me a unique outlook on brand storytelling and the market.

With an interest in all facets in design, I love researching, experimenting, and challenging myself. With every new project, I researches and takes inspirations from cultures and types of visuals whether it’s from fashion, art, architecture, or product design. I am always ready to jump into the unknown and learn a new skill/program.
